Chris Maddison said "Played September 2011.  Firstly, the course is in excellent condition. It is very looked after and has settled down well. The greens were double cut both mornings that I played as well as all the bunkers freshly raked.
The layout is still tough. The front 9 in particular can be brutal unless you keep it straight off the tee. However, the more you play the course the more you can understand where the bail-out areas are.
Great fun as a matchplay course but if you shoot your handicap you deserve a cold beer on the beautiful terrace."

Martin Mayo said "Although many players seem to find it a tight course we found it pretty generous although with water affecting most holes it was intimidating. A very enjoyable course and one not to be missed."

Steve Eaves said "An excellent course with outstanding views. Course managment is the key is you want to shoot a decent score. Plenty of water and it can play very difficult as there is usually a wind. Outstanding greens and service."

Mike Ward said "Quite a difficult course with lots of water. Played it a few years back when it was quite young and it has improved. But still needs some time and work. Good facilities, practice range, bar, terrace, changing rooms. Would not recommend it for v high handicappers."

Ian O' Hea said "Played this in July 2008 with my wife who is a novice. I was in danger of running out of balls before her. The par 5 1st and 10th are crackers, real risk and reward holes with the emphasis on risk.
Thought the clubhouse should have been located at these greens as the 9th and 18th are less spectacular.

Debbie Hurrell said "A tough course with lots of water! Very enjoyable. Quite a bit of development going on around the course made part of it a little less enjoyable, but still excellent.

Chris Maddison said "Played this course in June 08, h/c's ranged from 6 to 24.  We all thought that this was one of the most difficult courses that we have ever played, especially in the wind. The first 7 holes are very difficult with water all over the place and absolutely no room for error. There are a couple of holes where you really struggle to envisage how you play the hole.  The course is still very new so its condition can be accepted.  The greens appear good but you soon notice that they don't hold shots into them and are a very inconsistent pace.  Quinta do Vale is a bit of a novelty course especially given its strange layout. We all much preferred Costa Esuri on the other side of the river.

Jeremy Horn said "We played this course in April 2008. It is a new course and the fairways at the moment are very patchy in places. But what a location! Fantastic views and lots and lots of water hazards. If you can't keep it straight, take plenty of balls!! The greens were very good considering how new the course is. We had a very special rate including a buggy. Probably the best advise is play it now before the green fee becomes too expensive. A long way around but a great test. We played on the way back to Faro airport, the changing facilities are very good with free towels provided for showering.
