We recommend using Faro airport in southern Portugal as your gateway to the beautiful Western Costa de la Luz for resorts such as El Rompido, Quinta da Ria, Islantilla, Castro Marim & Isla Canela. Faro is just a leisurely 1 hour drive along the recently upgraded coastal link road to the heart of the main golfing area at Islantilla.
Note that a new international aiport is due to open in Huelva Province by 2012.
For golf in the Cadiz/Jerez region we recommend using either Jerez or Seville airport as your gateway to your Spanish golf holiday.
The airports of Gibraltar or Malaga are also possible arrival points, although the driving distances from either of these is slightly more.
