Mike Taylor said "Very good test of golf very with excellent greens. Bunkers could be better and have good consistant sand otherwise both courses excellant with friendly club house staff." Carol Reynolds said "The greens were in excellent condition." Brian McCutcheon said "We played the back nine first and I only hit driver once. Tricky nine holes, especially on your first visit. Need to be straight off the tee on many of these holes. The actual front nine is more open and more enjoyable to play. Greens were in excellent condition and practice facilities are good. A good overall course and value for money." Jeff Laing said "A great course but I liked it more when the 1st 9 were over and around the marshes. Look forward to going back next week after a year away (having played it 3 times). Will also take on the North Course." Stephen Pettitt said "Both are excellent, interesting and challenging courses, with well designed layouts, scenic views and good conditions (pity so many golfers do not repair divots and pitch marks on greens, though - but this was a problem on all the courses we played on in the region). North is a little more difficult, but with the best views and some superb holes."Chris Colam said "our second favourite and a fitting way to finish the week. Tide coming in to the estuary made for changing scenery backdrop to some holes." Gill Chilton said "Really enjoyed the two courses. Despite the weather being quite wet for two days they stood up to it quite well - more than I can say for us as we had no waterproofs!!" Geoff Davison said "Very enjoyable experience on a good course with bonus of wonderful location on back nine" Nigel Blackmore said "An excellent test of golf with the greens being very quick, in first class condition. Worth a visit by anyone and would go back again." John Davidson said "Really enjoyable course with lots of different holes posing various questions. Layout is well planned and considering the age of the course it is in excellent condition." JIM CAMPBELL said "WE PLAYED BOTH COURSES ON A 3 DAY BREAK IN JANUARY 2008. THIS WAS OUR FIRST GOLF BREAK ABROAD. THE COURSES WERE CHALLENGING BUT ENJOYABLE.WE ARE LOOKING TO BOOK THE SAME TIME NEXT YEAR AS THE COURSES ARE IN ECELLENT CONDITION AND IT DOESN'T GET TOO BUSY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE CONSIDERING A QUALITY BREAK AT A GREAT PRICE" Carol Reynolds said "Have played many times and always enjoyed". Susie Hart said "Both El Rompido courses were in decent condition. We preferred the North course which was a good challenge but found the back 9 of the South course a bit contrived, but the views made up for this. Clubhouse design was a bit weird because of the different levels and not particularly welcoming". Mark F said "Both courses are excellent, but I much preferred the maturity of the original course. The teaching pro Peter Ballingall is very well respected and I had two lessons with him which have helped greatly since my holiday. I recommend El Rompido to serious golfers and casual golfers. This is also an ideal venue for a family holiday with the option for someone (dad in my case) to get away for a very nice round a couple of times".Jon Mabbs said "The main disappointment about this course is the section between 15th and 17th greens, where it feels as though the designer ran out of space and just stuck the holes in as best he could. A section that spoils a course which, though not historic, is certainly memorable"
Lorane Scott said: "Beautiful course that makes its way around the nature reserve, challenging but not impossible. Greens were in top condition, fast but honest." Jon Simpkin said: "Best course we played out of Islantilla, Nuevo Portil and here by miles. Greens are as good as any you'll play on anywhere. Still needs to mature but for 30GBP green fee you can't beat it. Don't bother with Islantilla unless you have a buggy and don't mind plenty of blind shots. Nuevo Portil ruined by all the netting and villas around the course."Richard Pearson said "Unfortunately all the buggies were booked out and in the heat it was extremely draining"Anne Hollman said "set in a lovely location, some holes quite tight, excellent but when its busy its slow, the north course was quieter"
