East Algarve Golf Trophy 2011

Now in its second year, the Eastern Algarve will host the East Algarve Golf Trophy.

The East Algarve Golf Trophy, held between 5th and 12th February 2011, is an individual stableford competition played in 2 handicap categories.

This is a great chance to come to the East Algarve and have a unique experience, playing at Benamor Golf Club, Castro Marim Golf & Country Club, Quinta de Cima Golf Club, Quinta do Vale Golf & Resort and at the Jack Nicklaus 'Signature' Monte Rei Golf & Country Club.

The 2011 tournament price also includes car hire and transfers to all social events and other activities in the program.

East Algarve Golf Trophy Competition Rules

COMPETITION
The East Algarve Golf Trophy 2011 is a golf competition for amateur players with an official club handicap.

HANDICAPS
The maximum handicap is 24. Players with higher handicaps will play with a 24 handicap.

COMPETITION FORMAT
The tournament is played in INDIVIDUAL STABLEFORD (FULL HANDICAP) – GROSS AND NET. The tournament is played in five golf courses:
6th February - Benamor Golf Club
7th February - Quinta do Vale Golf & Resort
8th February - Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club
10th February - Quinta da Ria Golf Club
11th February - Monte Rei Golf & Country Club

FINAL SCORES
Agreggate scores of the 4 best rounds (Gross and Net). In the event of a tie between two or more players, the player of lower handicap will be the winner. If the tie still exists between one or more players, the one with the higher individual position on any of the five tournaments will be the winner.

HANDICAP CATEGORIES
A – Players with handicap up to 12
B – Players with handicap between 12.1 and 24

RULES
The Rules of the competition are those of the Royal & Ancient Club of St. Andrews Club of St. Andrews and the local rules of each golf course.

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
José Manuel Castro Martins (Event Director) and the Golf Director of each course. The Technical Committee decisions are final. The Organization may change the Rules of the Tournament at anytime
