Chris Maddison said "This course is still very new and the greens in particular still need a couple of years to bed in. They are very slow and not a patch on the condition of Costa Esuri West. There are too many gimmick holes for my liking that just don't reward good golf shots. Higher handicap players in particular will find this a tough course as there are a lot of blind tee shots, forced carries and very narrow drives with lots of OB and scrub. Makes a nice alternative if you are spending your whole week in Costa Esuri but overall is not a patch on the West course."

Paul Heagren said "A strange one! Really good course with some great holes (a couple of poor ones as well). Some long walks between holes. Once the villas are built it will change the nature of the course. Will definitely play again.

MICHAEL BAILEY said "I played the course again in October and my comments still apply with the exception that the greens had developed and were now much better. They had quickened up and lost the spongy feel. All in all the course is coming along very nicely and is still only 7 months old."

MICHAEL BAILEY said "Much more difficult and testing off the Tee than the West Course.  Obviously very new, the Greens are very spongy and slower than the West Course but if you get the chance to play it you must.  Just take plenty of golf balls.

There are some spectacular holes. In particular the 5th. Your second shot is to a virtual island green surrounded by water.The 6th is a Par 3 with a daunting tee shot and 7th a long Par 4 with water all down the left hand side.
On the back nine the 12th is quite unusual and leaves the big hitters with a decision to make. The 13th is not a long Par 3 but you are hitting into a triangular shaped green, narrowest point furthest away from the tee, which is surrounded by the marshes and steep banks drop away from all sides. The 14th is a really nice short Par 4.Loads of trouble if you don't hit your tee shot straight.
We really enjoyed the course and found much more challenging than the West course. Not a course where you just stand and hit the ball. You need your think what you are doing. We played in July 2008.
