Opened in March 2007, Costa Esuri West is a superb riverside parkland course but with a real links golf feel. The prevailing wind off the Guadiana river brings added challenge to the layout but the fairways are wide and fair. With a long term ambition to host tour events, the course is long and challenging but without being a slog. The East course (opening Summer 2008) provides a more benign ‘holiday golf’ experience however for those without ambitions of making the pro circuit! |

Don’t be put off by the fact that the Costa Esuri courses are situated in a large residential development. The housing only borders the west course down one side and does not cut in to any of the fairways. This gives a round at Costa Esuri West a real wide open feel and demonstrates the designer’s (Aymerich Golf) understanding of what is required to merge a great golf course with much needed infrastructure. During your round at Costa Esuri Golf Club, you will spend most of your time looking out to the magnificent River Guadiana which forms the border between Spain and Portugal. Those with eagle eyes will spot the new Seve Ballesteros course at Quinta do Vale over the water in Portugal. This is also well worth a play. When you finish your round at Costa Esuri Golf Club, you can relax and unwind in the clubhouse which has a large bar area and a sun terrace overlooking the river and substantial practice area. The food is excellent in the clubhouse, especially the breakfast, so arrive early if you are playing in the morning! |

Julian Tunks said "Beautiful location along the River Guadiana with some truly great holes, notably 6,9,10,12 & 17. With maturity this will surely be recognised as a must play course. Level of difficulty dependant on wind - real links potential for disaster when blowy."

Neal Rowland said "course was only new,needs a bit if time to mature around tee boxes and rough,not a very difficult course so very enjoyable play!!!staff can be a bit moody with the spanish-english language barrier but thats about the only down side to the course..would recommend it to the average golfer..."

Helen Rogers said: "Considering the course has only been open for 6 months the greens and fairways are in excellent condition. The area surrounding the tees needs tidying up still and of course the trees need some time to grow and line the fairways. However this is still an excellent test of golf and once is established will command far higher green fees."
