Chris Colam said "brilliant course and our pick of the week. Beautiful location and generally wide open fairways (but still with well positioned traps). Can be windy apparently but in our case, gentle breeze helped to cool us down nicely."

MIKE FIELDER said "A great course in a very scenic location. The course meanders its way along the Guadiana river for some of the holes with views across the river to Portugal and to the Atlantic to the south.  The greens had been spiked and sanded some time before we played and would otherwise have scored 4 or even 5 normally. The wide fairways enable wayward shots to be recovered which helps make the course enjoyable for higher handicappers but still present a challenge for all levels. The great weather down on the Costa de la Luz also adds to the pleasurable experience."

Chris Maddison said "We played this in May 08, 4 golfers with hcps ranging from 6 to 24. Of all the courses we have played in the Algarve area (this was our 9th trip), this is our favourite course. Really good condition considering its age with a great variety of holes that challenge as well as entertain.  The course is very easy to find and thanks to Golf de la Luz, great value for money.  A course in a similar style to Laguna but much, much better."

Julian Tunks said "Beautiful location along the River Guadiana with some truly great holes, notably 6,9,10,12 & 17. With maturity this will surely be recognised as a must play course. Level of difficulty dependant on wind - real links potential for disaster when blowy."

Neal Rowland said "course was only new,needs a bit if time to mature around tee boxes and rough,not a very difficult course so very enjoyable play!!!staff can be a bit moody with the spanish-english language barrier but thats about the only down side to the course..would recommend it to the average golfer..."

Helen Rogers said: "Considering the course has only been open for 6 months the greens and fairways are in excellent condition. The area surrounding the tees needs tidying up still and of course the trees need some time to grow and line the fairways. However this is still an excellent test of golf and once is established will command far higher green fees."

Colin Peacock said "New course so a few patches that will improve. Greens and fairways fantastic. Very few trees so a little like a links course with wind blowing from river. Great value and one to watch as it matures."
