The food available in the bar was excellent and great value for money. We liked the wildlife and bird life along the course and views of the estuary were great. The golf shot reviews were useful and helpful and were probably decisive in us using this course.Two most enjoyable days of golf."

Andy Sprules said "A good resort course offering generous fairways and large greens.  This is an ideal holiday course, not difficult with good tee shots being rewarded. There are delightful  views along the Guadiana River and across the river to Portigal. Feeling adventurous...try the East Course and see how your handicap measures up!!"

Chris Maddison said "Returned to play Costa Esuri West again after 18 months. The course is in even better condition now and we really enjoyed our rounds here. A great test of golf with a variety of holes that test all parts of your game. Although the course is fairly long off the whites the ball tends to roll pretty far especially down-wind.
The greens were in superb condition and were a pleasure to play on. Favourite holes are the par 5 6th that goes up the hill and the massively challenging par 3 16th that played 220yds into the wind.
Overall a great experience and some of the best value golf in the region. If you are staying in Portugal don't be put off my the fact that this course is in Spain. Door to door from our villa just outside Tavira only took 25mins."

Brian McCutcheon said "You feel you are on a links course. Great views across Guadiana River to Portugal. Greens were in excellent condition. Par 3 holes were varied and challenging. Water used strategically on 10th, 12th, 14th and 17th holes. Great value for money. Course was not busy. Easy to walk and a very pleasant overall experience".

Chris Colam said "brilliant course and our pick of the week. Beautiful location and generally wide open fairways (but still with well positioned traps). Can be windy apparently but in our case, gentle breeze helped to cool us down nicely."

MIKE FIELDER said "A great course in a very scenic location. The course meanders its way along the Guadiana river for some of the holes with views across the river to Portugal and to the Atlantic to the south.  The greens had been spiked and sanded some time before we played and would otherwise have scored 4 or even 5 normally. The wide fairways enable wayward shots to be recovered which helps make the course enjoyable for higher handicappers but still present a challenge for all levels. The great weather down on the Costa de la Luz also adds to the pleasurable experience."

Chris Maddison said "We played this in May 08, 4 golfers with hcps ranging from 6 to 24. Of all the courses we have played in the Algarve area (this was our 9th trip), this is our favourite course. Really good condition considering its age with a great variety of holes that challenge as well as entertain.  The course is very easy to find and thanks to Golf de la Luz, great value for money.  A course in a similar style to Laguna but much, much better."
