Hole 1 - Par 4
Not a long hole to start with, slightly uphill dogleg to the right, it is all about positioning from the tee. Get it right and it sets you up for that all important good start. Care to be taken on this interesting green.
Hole 2 - Par 3
Good bunkering protects this beautiful par three. Enjoy the first of the amazing views but then concentrate and choose the right club to find the green. Waiting is an understandable green allowing you to make an early birdie.
Hole 3 - Par 4
Dogleg slightly to the left, so keep your drive down the right to give you the angle to the green. A long thin green needs you to pay attention to the flag position. A good read is required on this undulating green.
Hole 4 - Par 5
This testing hole will play longer than the yardage, as it is all uphill. This is a true three-shot hole. Beware of the fairway bunker that will cost you a shot if you find it. Keep your approach shot to the green right of centre. A par will be a memorable experience.
Hole 5 - Par 4
The longest par 4 on the front nine will test your long game. Take note of the wind from the tee as a strong drive is required. Your approach shot is slightly down hill. Take this into consideration, as long is not the place to be.
Hole 6 - Par 3
This wonderful par three will take your breath away. Being short of the green is better than long. Take a deep breath and play your "shot of the day" to the centre of the green. A par gives you bragging rights at the end of the round.
Hole 7 - Par 4
This strategic, slight dogleg right par four demands the right choice of tee shot. For the big hitter and the wind behind it might tempt you to have a go for it. But beware, trouble is waiting all the way down the right. For all players this is a good birdie opportunity.
Hole 8 - Par 4
A dogleg left, uphill and with fairway bunkers makes this the hardest hole on the front nine. From the tee favour the right side to give the best angle to attack the green. A large green is waiting for you so club up for your second shot to make sure you get there.
Hole 9 - Par 5 This beautiful par five is a great hole to finish the front nine. This is a true risk-reward par five. Get a good drive away and you may stand the chance to get there in two. But risk is the word, with a stream winding its way down the hole ending in a lake around the right of the green.

Hole 10 - Par 4 Not too long a par four to start your back nine. Avoid the fairway bunkers on the left to set you up a good approach. The green has a diagonal step from right to left, so club up when the flag is back right.
Hole 11 - Par 5 This dogleg left par five for many will be a three shot hole. Bunkers run down the left side so play positional. The green is the smallest on the course with subtle slopes affecting speed and break of your putt.
Hole 12 - Par 4 This creative par four plays slightly downhill. Place your drive down the left to give you a good angle in. This beautiful infinity green is receptive but well guarded. Time to find your "A" game and make a good par.
Hole 13 - Par 4 This wonderful uphill hole is the longest par four on the course, where you can flex your muscles off the tee to a wide fairway. Reaching the green in two is an achievement for any player. If not, dig deep and make a chip and putt for par.
Hole 14 - Par 4 This short dogleg left par 4 is another strategic hole. Position your tee shot into the right side and you stand a good chance of attacking the flag with a short club. An amphitheatre green sits in front of you but do not flirt with the bunker left.
Hole 15 - Par 3 This spectacular par three will quicken your heartbeat. Relax and play a good solid shot to the left centre of the green. This green can be quite fast from back to front, so be careful. A solid par here will put a smile on your face.
Hole 16 - Par 5 As you enter into the home straight, the view is breathtaking so one can be forgiven for loosing concentration. Refocus for you have a fabulous downhill par five ahead of you. It plays a little shorter than the distance on the card but even still, do you try for it in two with the lake close to the green?
Hole 17 - Par 3 This terrific par three demands all your skill to achieve your par. Trust the distance as the front bunker shortens the hole to your eye. The green has many subtle slopes, so take care with your read.
Hole 18 - Par 4 This challenging par four compliments the previous holes to make this a remarkable stretch of finishing holes. Hit a long drive right of centre to give you the best angle to the green. Your second shot must be pure to avoid the lake on the left and find the putting surface. What a fantastic way to end a great golfing experience at Arcos.
